Parent Carer Groups
During the pandemic, we became critically aware of the impact reduced social contact was having on both parents/carers and children. As such, we felt we could help the local community reconnect with opportunities that support children’s development, whilst also providing an essential social link for parents and carers.
So, in 2022 we introduced Parent and Child Groups to our range of services. The aim of these sessions is to welcome families into our setting, allowing children to play alongside other children, whilst learning new skills with their parents/carers.
This not only allows parents/carers to gain an insight into our nursery, ethos and curriculum, but also allows families to sample the learning that takes place together.
During these sessions, parents/carers get to know one another, establishing and building those all-important social networks.
We also run seasonal events and celebrations where families can celebrate together. Our favourite of these is our annual Winter Wonderland event.
At Explorers, we celebrate all the seasons, but none more so than Christmas! This annual celebration stands as one of the highlights on our social calendar, bringing together families and staff for a memorable day full of magic and community spirit.
Our dedicated staff team works tirelessly to transform our nursery and grounds into a magical winter landscape, filled with delightful decorations, twinkling lights, and festive cheer. Every corner of our space becomes a winter wonderland, inviting families to step into a festive atmosphere that features a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain our children and their families. From interactive crafts and festive games to captivating storytelling sessions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
As families come together, this event fosters a sense of community and connection, strengthening the bonds between parents, caregivers, and our nursey staff. It’s a time for laughter, joy, and shared experiences that create lasting memories.
